Steps to Stop Bullying is a Workshop Presentation designed to educate about the topic of bullying through creative materials.
The definition of bullying is dependent on a person's own personal opinion based on their own personal experiences. A general statement of what bullying entails is:
Bullying is an aggressive act/or acts, which are an intent to harm through an imbalance of power and control, which are repeated over time.
Some words which are often included in the definition of bullying are:
-isolate
-manipulate
-intent to harm
-repeated over time
-imblance of power
-control
Roles in bullying scenario:
Bully: exerts power on others to try and harm them while trying to gain something valuable by means of status, money or goods.
Assistants: help the bully
Reinforcers: provide the bully with positive feedback
Defenders: stick up for the victim
Bully-Victim: Bully who is also a target of bullying themselves.
Victim: Target of bullying incident
Bystander: A person whom witnesses the bullying taking place; however does not take action to put a stop to it. Remain uninvolved outsiders/bystanders.

Identifying Bullying Characteristics:
In order for bullying to be considered bullying it must be a dominance of power in a negative way, the intent to harm, the frequency in which it occurs over a wide spread of time and the intensity and force of the action inflicted upon the victim.
